The beginning of my week was greeted by the publication of two recent articles of mine that will likely be of interest to many of you—otherwise why bother subscribing?
The first article is a piece that outlines some of the reasons that people are bad at generosity and charity. And some of the not-so-great reasons that people give. It appears in The Humanist.
The second article is a piece arguing that for Androids that look and work with people, they may need labor market protections due to discrimination and human bias. Sounds crazy? Maybe. But AI probably did, too, until they invented it (or something near enough to be pretty remarkable and scary!). It appears in Philosophy Now.
