Prof. Cowen and I had an interview on topics ranging from economic growth as a moral imperative, the nature of UFOs, whether rent seeking is a drain on the economy, and whether Plato, pumpkin spice, and the Founding Fathers are overrated, why we should (or shouldn’t) care about chess, and how to think about failure, among other topics.
May I make a suggestion? You should look at putting up some foam on your walls to minimize the reverb in your recording. I have a similar problem with my YT channel, and found that foam on the walls helped a lot. You can find lots of examples on Amazon.
You can also add some gate and/or compression in post, and remove a lot of that too. You can also try putting a shield around the other side of your mic to minimize the reflections.

Dear Dr Licon. First time visitor here. I enjoyed your conversation with Prof Cowen. Thanks.
By the by, I agree with Michael Stack that the sound quality could do with some improvement. Perhaps a better recording mic.
Best wishes,
Atanu Dey

Good luck!
